We are looking for a Global Category Manager within technical articles (Stores) who will have the overall responsibility to create, maintain, and improve inbound supply chains for Wrist. You will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing the relationship with the global vendor community to create the best possible sourcing position for Wrist, considering total cost price, quality, availability, and logistics. You will travel for approximately 20-30 days, meeting your colleagues from around the world, and build the procurement team even stronger.

With reference to our CPO, you will become part of a strong team. The position is based in Nørresundby.

Key responsibilities:   

• Analyze purchasing trends, commodity development, execute benchmarking and convert into financial improvement of the business
• Search the market for identification of new vendors and opportunities and incorporate those in the business
• Contract coverage and compliance
• Execute procurement strategy and translate into objectives and targets
• Understand consumer patterns, and translate the data into new products/assortments and/or new vendors
• Together with sales, optimize assortments and cost of goods sold (COGS) throughout the organization by leading the definition, item alignment and roll out of global and regional assortment programs
• Supplier relations management to maximize cooperation

Qualifications & requirements:

• +5 years Procurement Category Management experience with specialty in stores / technical categories
• A master’s degree within the technical field
• Preferable experience from working in a global matrix organization and a couple of years of management experience
• You manage your stakeholders well and can drive alignment. Your approach is data driven and your decisions are based on facts
• You possess strong negotiation-, communication- and influencing skills
• You have a longer experience with global sourcing and a strong procurement toolbox
• You have experience in building assortments in cooperation with sales
